Job description :
This individual will design and develop the overall architecture of
the solution from the perspective of InfoCubes/ODS/InfoProviders/ETL
working closely with business analysts and data modelers.  This person
should be familiar with performance considerations and best practices
for designing an overall BW solution including  building all objects,
transformation rules, and data flow automation based on the business
requirements.
• Experience in the following subject areas an asset:
1.  Asset master data
2.  Utility Production volumes
3.  Energy Trading Price data
4.  Financials (Gross Margin and derivatives)
• Work closely with the data analysts and modeling team to build
out
the required staging area and data supply models based on information
about the data sources.
• Design all objects in BW to meet business, data model, and
transformation rule designs
• Vet the design with amongst a solution design & architecture
team
• Design and build the data transformations to move content from
1.  SAP data sources into the staging area (PSA)
2.  Staging area into the data supply layer (PSA to DSO)
3.  Data supply layer to the information delivery layer (Info Cube

Report ready)
4.  Provide all automation of data loads and data quality checks
• Put together required CTS requests to migrate objects
• Mentor internal resources, document work, and transition all
work to
support
Must Have :
• Extensive technical experience in SAP BW 7.0 is a must
• Extensive experience with SEM (BPS/BCS)
• Strong data modeling & ETL design(ABAP) skills in SAP BW

Position: Data Analyst
Location: Calgary. Canada.
Duration: 6+ months contract

Job description :
• Track down data all sources of data and systems of record
containing
data and information used in the calculation of estimated and actual
gross margin. These sources comprise all or portions of the subject
areas: production volumes, pricing, revenues and costs; and the
relevant budgeting, estimating and forecasting within those subject
areas.
• Analyze, document and profile the details of the entity
relationships and attribute data from each of these sources and
systems of record, and assess the quality.
• Work with the data architecture and modeling team on building
out
the required staging area and data supply models based on information
about the data sources.
• Design and document the data transformations to move content
from
data sources and systems of record into the staging area, and to move
content from the staging area into the data supply layer (source to
target mapping); including the necessary alignment with repository
master data.
• Work with the data architecture and modeling team to review,
document and build out master reference data to support the ETL and
business processes. The reference data is an essential and necessary
component of the models comprising the master and transactional data
repository.
• Define and document business use and descriptions of the
derivation
of estimated and actual gross margin based on the supporting data
subject areas.
• Track and resolve data issues raised from project and data
governance process.
• Some exposure to SAP and BW as data sources and/or repositories
would be beneficial.

Job description :
• Will participate in the development life cycle of Data Services,
specifically Data Integrator, to design workflow, develop, test,
document and implement against BW components. This individual will
build the storage service layers for the overall solution.  This
person should be familiar with performance considerations and best
practices for designing an overall BW solution.  This individual will
build all objects, transfer structures, and update rules based on the
business requirements.
• Identify within SAP BW and SAP R/3 modules content for the
following
subject areas:
1.  asset master data
2.  production volumes
3.  outages, derates and dispatch
4.  capacity and derived measures
5.  revenues and costs
6.  inputs (i.e. station services and fuel)
