The world’s a big place, filled with big ideas and amazing people, and we want the best of them here at American Express. We’re interested in where you came from, but we’re even more excited about where you will go with American Express. Ideally, they want a Big Data Engineer who is a java developer, and also has good development knowledge with Hadoop / Hive / Pig (doesn’t need to be all three of course, but one of those three would be great). This group is doing a lot of processing an analytics, so they need to have that type of mindset. They have been seeing candidates who have more architectural knowledge or ETL, rather than development. Secondly, these are some trade-offs/preferences appropriate for these postings. If there are other areas where your team sees the opportunity for trade-offs, please let me know. *1. **Prefer candidates with strong advanced Java skills, rather than intermediate-level candidates with a diversified skill set.* *2. **Candidates do not need to have management or people leader experience.* Leadership can take many forms -- if he or she is a strong individual contributor, their technical skills will help them lead by example *Regards, Meenu Yadav* *IT-Technical Recruiter Source Infotech Inc. **3840 Park Avenue, Suite C-205, Edison, NJ-08820* *Phone#: 609-608-0466|| Fax: 732-909-2282 || Email: * *mya...@sourceinfotech.com* <mya...@sourceinfotech.com> *------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------* *Disclaimer: *Under Bill s.1618 Title III passed by the 105th U.S. Congress this mail cannot be considered Spam as long as we include contact information and a remove link for removal from our mailing list.
