The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking a Senior Database
 Developer with solid experience and knowledge pertaining to designing,
developing and implementing of enterprise level database support, with

The Enterprise Database  Team is composed of 3 oracle DBAs, 2 SQL server
DBAs and a team leader. The team is  upgrading to SQL server 2012 and

Current reports utilize the enterprise data warehouse (Oracle Exadata) and

level. The team coordinates with client, server, network, and database/data

Georgia DOT may exercise the option to renew contracts in one year
increments. Several successful developers have continued working for

reports to ensure the quality and integrity of extracts though the use of

Arlington County, Department of Technology Services (DTS), is seeking a
Senior Level Oracle Developer with both technical and functional expertise,
to provide short term staff augmentation to remediate a custom General
Ledger approval Workflow issue.  The candidate will interact with staff and
management from DTS and the Department of Management and Finance (DMF).
This position will also work with DTS Management, who will coordinate any
testing or implementation with   Oracle on Demand Cloud Services
The primary responsibility for this engagement is to troubleshoot custom
general ledger approval workflow issues.  It is expected that a root cause
for problems with the workflow will be identified and then a solution will
be identified and developed to resolve the issue.  The individual will
participate in testing and implementation of the solution.  Additionally
the solution must be fully documented to support DTS application change
control standards and for knowledge transition to the DTS and DMF support
teams. The individual must possess a strong technical understanding of
Oracle R12.1 General Ledger Workflow, understand integration between
general ledger and Oracle sub ledgers, and be able to effectively knowledge
transfer all aspects of the solution designed for this engagement.

Responsibilities
Identify root cause problem in custom Oracle GL Approval Workflow
Develop, document and support testing and implementation of a solution to
identified problem in Oracle GL Approval Workflow
Provide  detailed knowledge transfer of documented solution of Oracle GL
Approval Workflow fixe to the PRISM Team
Provide daily status report to DTS and DMF management

The successful candidate will possess the following:
Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in Oracle R12.1 General
Ledger/Sub-Ledger Workflows—specifically, Journal Approvals
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including
executives, managers, and subject matter experts

DEP’s enterprise system is called eFACTS (Environmental Facility
Application Compliance Tracking System).  It is an Oracle web form based
application that uses an Oracle 11G DB as the back end. It provides a
holistic view of the clients and sites (including facilities) that DEP
regulates.  In addition it tracks the various functions that support DEP
regulations such as compliance activities, bonding, fees, certifications,
authorizations/licenses/permits, etc.  eFACTS is a complex system
encompassing thousands of business rules.  There are over 2000 users from
all facets of the department, plus several external users.  It provides for
basic data entry roles, application processors, compliance specialist,
bonding, certification, etc.  The eFACTS system has over 140 Oracle Forms,
over 2500 tables in its main schema, and over a thousand other tables,
views indexes for interfacing with integrated systems.

These individuals will be utilized to support the existing system,
implement enhancements for the various program areas, assist in upgrades
and architectural changes, and provide mentoring and support to DEP
staff.   These positions may be involved in any or all facets of developing
application system such as defining user requirements, system impacts,
