Working knowledge on storage is an added advantage. Experience in shell scripting would be handy. Scope of Work: Responsible for day-to-day support (Solaris 9, 10) which includes. . System setup and customization . OS installation and configuration . OS hardening as per guidelines laid out by design team / securityteam . System disk storage maintenance (SVM, VxVM) . System monitoring - CPU, Disk, Memory utilization etc. . Capacity planning inputs, Periodical reporting . Problem resolution and RCA for system issues . OS/Patches upgrade. . Scripting for automating tasks . Backup / Restore. . Responsibilities include hardware, OS, level troubleshooting. . Ability to write scripts and procedures to automate administration tasks. .
