RESPONSIBLE: Work closely with a team of (US and International) network, system, and desktop engineers who are responsible for supporting the eCommerce platform; collaborate and align tactical and strategic goals with various IT units (Application, DBA, QA, mainframe, telecom, etc), both in the US and internationally; responsible for creating technical project plans and meeting project deliverables on-time and on-budget. Planning, design, build-out, and maintenance of the system/network infrastructure, and operational enhancement and performance/availability of multiple transatlantic WANs and Data Centers that are responsible for supporting the eCommerce platform. REQUIREMENTS: 4-5 years experience in supporting the Microsoft Windows Server environment including troubleshooting the operating system, hardware and software issues, and application problems. 4-5 years experience in maintaining and supporting IIS web servers, Active Directory, GPOs, and DNS implementation for a high transaction multi-billion dollar ecommerce business. 4+ years experience as Systems Engineer working in a high volume e-commerce network and systems environment and team - this should include 24/7 operational, on-call support availability. Extensive experience building and configuring Windows (2003/2008), as well as Web Servers (IIS); strong experience building out mission-critical virtual environments (VMWare and Virtual Server) is a must. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills; the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with a variety of colleagues in a diverse multi-cultural environment. Strong experience in Windows 2008 migration. Expert knowledge with ESX ESXi migrations experience is a plus. Technical writing skills are needed.
