*Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer
Science, CIS or related field3+ years of experience in business analysis in
a related field 3-5 years of experience in database administration
preferredInstall and upgrade the database server and application
toolsAllocate system storage and planning future storage requirements for
the database systemModify database structure from information given by
application developersEnroll users and maintain system securityEnsure
compliance with database vendor license agreementControl and monitor user
access to the databaseMonitor and optimize the performance of the
databasePlan for backup and recovery of database informationMaintain
archived dataBack up and restoring databasesContact database vendor for
technical supportGenerate various reports by querying from
databaseImplement, maintain, and design DB2, ORACLE, IMS, SYBASE, SQL
Server and other data bases in support of the development and installation
of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.Use available tools and
utilities to provide for necessary database maintenance activitiesdata base
reorganizations, backup and recovery, space management, performance and
tuning, and change management.Ensure that all software or systems for which
they are responsible are monitored and tuned to ensure acceptable levels of
performance and resource utilization, Ensure that the software is utilizing
all appropriate functions and features, timely and accurate reporting on
performance, utilization and feature use as requested.Providee project
management regarding all technical aspects of implementing projectsmajor
release upgrades for client’s largest, most complex and critical systems
which includes: properly following a project life cycle, the development of
project plans, completing all appropriate documentation and notifications
in order to obtain resolution within the established timeframes. Provide
technical assistance to Operations, Applications, Business Clients and
the Help Desk in order to resolve production schedules or problems. Use
available resources to research, resolve and recommend solutions for the
most complex and critical systems.Participates in and contributes to
technical discussion within theirteam and shares their technical expertise
to others’ activities.Communicate between key IT groups and the customer
community via participation in meetings and the creation of status
reporting mechanisms (weekly, monthly, and quarterly).Participate in client
Enterprise Wide technology projects for most complex and critical
technologies. *
