Here is the job description: Title: MicroStrategy Programmer/BA Location: San Antonio, TX Duration: 6 months Description: This Senior Programmer Analyst position will be responsible for doing application development in MicroStrategy 8.1. This position will be part of a team, but work fairly autonomously to complete identified projects. As a result, this person must have very strong analytical skills and an ability to function as a business analyst in addition to developer. Hiring Criteria: Advanced knowledge of MicroStrategy V8.1. Knowledge of V9 a plus as is experience with Narrowcast Server. Advance knowledge of SQL and exposure to PL/SQL Experience data modeling in Oracle 10g environment, with both data marts and data warehouses. Advanced knowledge of application design principles, practices, systems development, and analysis Prior experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager Prior experience in data warehouse and business information analysis (3+ years) Demonstrated ability to work directly with business clients to interpret business requirements into system solutions Demonstrated ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients Expectations: Demonstrated ability to coordinate, plan, and manage small projects and work in a multi-discipline team environment. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and analyze system related issues and recommend and implement appropriate solutions. Flexible and able to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Provides clients with technical expertise and support concerning both development and production systems. Meets with clients and peers to identify functional requirements of proposed technical solutions. Provides status reporting and escalates issues appropriately Provides advanced technical expertise and mentoring to other team members. Reviews application performance issues Constructively contributes in team and department meetings. Performs other work as required or requested as well as additional assignments.
