*Location: Orlando, FL * *Duration: Long term* *Strongly prefer local candidates.* Must have Red Hat Linux certification *Job description* · Platform is open but will most likely be OEL. · This is a new environment, so the individual can pick the version that is recommended. · I don’t know what a POS image is but the person will be expected to perform the FT responsibilities of a Linux engineer. · Build the machines, patch, backup, support, etc, etc, etc. · This is in support of new build + many different Oracle technologies (DB, PSoft, etc.) that will run on Linux. Scripting and storage is a plus as well. · Don't need DBA but will be working with DBAS. · Storage provisioning luns on an array. · Scripting.....writing scripts on Linux. · Duration. Indefinite. · It looks like they’re going to run their Oracle based environments on an Oracle Enterprise Linux operating system, which is a version of Red Hat Linux. I'll assume that that they are going to be using the unbreakable kernel version.
