*Project Description:*

This project is for managing a Java development effort



*In this role you will have the opportunity to:*

   - Develop project estimates - Gather business requirements from the
   customer to establish project estimates and to recommend a high-level
   solution.
   - Develop project work plans and schedules - including Risk Management
   Plan, Communication Plan, Documentation Plan, Quality Plan, Resource
   Staffing Plan, and all subordinate work plans.
   - Monitor and Control Project - monitor project scope, issues, risks and
   schedule. Manage issues to closure. Manage project issues to resolutin at
   lowes level.
   - Project Communication - ensure all are aware of progress through
   project meetings, status reports and milestone reviews.
   - Staff Management - monitor the performance of all resources assigned
   to project.  Take appropriate action to motivate and manage.
   - Product Quality - ensure appropriate design, code and test quality
   standards are followed in the development of the solution.
   - Manage turnover of project to post production as a Project Requirement
   including Backup and Recovery procedures.
   - Contribute to the Project Management knowledge base by contributing to
   department standards and improvement initiatives.
   - Project Reflection - Ensure that problems/difficulties during project
   are documented and recommendation for improvement is identified



*The Ideal Candidate will have:*

· 5+ years experience managing IT projects

   - Excellent communication skills for client-facing position
   - Strong SDLC experience - Waterfall  /  RUP
   - must be able to work independently, given some strategic management
   direction, must be a self-starter, have the results oriented mindset, and
   must be detail oriented



*Required Skills/Experience:*

   - 5 + years of Project Management Experience
   - 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Project



*Nice To have:*

   - PMP Certification

audience where writing and editing was conducted through a collaboration of
multiple resources.
9. At least 1 year experience managing a project where the project
deliverables include developing and managing a Request for Purchase (RFP)
for the development and deployment of a new system.
10. Demonstrated experience in communicating w/Sr. level management as well
as both internal and external project participants, customers or
stakeholders.
