Apache Virtual Hosting Configuration. Linux Patching, LVM and Package Management, Server Security, and configuration of Log Server. Allow or deny access using iptables, and tcp wrappers. Linux server monitoring using open source monitoring tool Nagios. Qualifications: 4 year Network related degree or equivalent professional experience. Candidate must have 3 + years of experience supporting RedHat Enterprise Linux 5. Must be a strong communicator, and possess great attention to detail. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting, troubleshooting, and providing user administration of RedHat Enterprise Linux 5. Candidate must have experience supporting Apache HTTP Application Web Servers. Candidates who have experience in LAMP environments will require less ramp up time. Candidate needs to have Load-balancing and failover experience with HA-Proxy Candidate should have experience utilizing network monitoring and traffic tools, our client utilized Nagios, this it is preferred. Candidate must have experience monitoring, scheduling, and maintaining Cron Jobs within Linux environments which run mission critical application services. Monitor the daily backup of MySQL databases. Provide user administration for access to application services which includes but is not limited to adding and disabling users, and password changes. Candidate will be tasked with blocking known IP addresses which pose risks to the applications. Candidate will be responsible for enabling user security features which are provided within RedHat Linux 5 & CentOS.
