Qualifications: Over 8 years of experience in maintaining/supporting Oracle databases. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems with strong technical experience or other applicable and/or equivalent skills, knowledge and/or work history. Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively using standard requirements and design artifacts Desired knowledge of and experience with the following technologies: Oracle 11g/12c Advanced oracle features (RAC, Data Guard) Oracle Tools/Functions (RMAN, Data Pump, AWR, ASH, ADDM, Profiler) Required Skills. REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrator, working directly with both database servers handling mission critical production environment Experience working with Oracle 11g in a unix environment Experience in the use of Oracle Data Guard, shell scripting in unix environment, PL/SQL, RMAN, Oracle Grid Control, Oracle Diagnostics and Tuning Packs , performance tuning, SQL Server Report Service, Windows Clustering, and DoubleTake Exposure to SQL 2012 a plus Experience with LVTS or DoubleTake a plus Comfortable to resolve issues independently with a sense of urgency and confident in supporting a fast-pace environment Ability to develop effective internal/external working relationships Exhibits self-confidence in one work, can be a problem solver as well as a team player Available to support after hours and weekends as needed.
