*Description*
*DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: *
Architect / Develop / Maintain efficient Web solutions utilizing JAVA to
resolve complex business needs. Develop these applications according to
customer requirements, following client development standards, for
applications within Technology Services. Lead small and medium-scaled
projects, spanning multiple technology platforms and integration of multiple
functional areas. Manage project tasks and plan, utilizing the client
Project Management Methodology for project compliance. This position will
require a strong focus on Mainframe development and design. Assess project
risks, and effectively manage and communicate them to the manager in a
timely manner. Coordinate with other technical teams to develop appropriate
interfaces and ensure quality and efficiency through capacity planning,
performance assessment, and both integration and regression testing.
Coordinate customer acceptance testing and ensure customer satisfaction
through timely resolution of issues, regular status reports, and ongoing
communication. Understand and adhere to the Technology Services
infrastructure and inter-relationships.
Embrace the client Leadership Model and actively demonstrate commitment to
the model. Actively support teams with common goals, and participate in high
team performance. Provide customer support 24x7 on a rotating basis. Perform
other special duties as assigned.
*BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVES - DO NOT SUBMIT CANDIDATE IF THEY DO NOT
HAVE EVERY ONE OF THESE): *
*• 3 or more years of application development and support experience using
the Java programming language required. *
*• 3 or more years of experience with JavaScript. *
*• 3 or more years of application development and support experience using
DB2 required. *
*• 3 or more years of technical analysis and design experience resulting in
documented requirements and specifications required. *
*• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or greater than 5 years business and/or
equivalent formal training or work experience required. *
*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: *
• Working experience of technical analysis and design using OO concepts and
design patterns.
• Working experience with IMS Connect
• Working experience with Java Swing
• Working experience with EJBs
• Working experience with Perl Script
• Working experience with Ext-JS
• Working knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IMS, as well as experience with
project management methodology.
• Additional technical skills that include, telecommunication network and
client-server technologies.
• Working knowledge of the railroad or transportation industry.
