*Job Description* POSITION TITLE: Security Analyst I LOCATION: Sparks, MD *PURPOSE OF POSITION:* The Security Analyst will assist and provide back up for the Security Analyst II as well as manage Audits *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* 1. Monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information. 2. Identify and define system security requirements. 3. Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols. 4. Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices. 5. Research and report on emergency security threats and attack vectors. 6. Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement. *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* 1. Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience. 2. CISSP, Security+, Ethical Hacker, ECSA, and/or Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Cyber security 3. One year direct, relevant Security experience or three years Network Systems experience. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:* 1. Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security. 2. Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls. 3. Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc. 4. Experience with network technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools. 5. Familiarity of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols, 6. Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols. 7.
