This person will be providing end user support for the business units who own the sites. Also will be responsible for training internal employees in SharePoint on a regular basis. Role Description: 1. Conduct beginning, intermediate, and advanced training sessions in the use of SharePoint, including Windows SharePoint Services V3 and SharePoint 2010. 2. Provide follow-up support by answering questions, demonstrating SharePoint functionality, and working through issues with users. This sometimes requires collaboration with the Infrastructure side of the organization. 3. Occasionally, the candidate will be involved with major projects and will be expected to carry out certain tasks to facilitate the use of SharePoint for a specific purpose. 4. Create new SharePoint sites and monitor the size of existing sites. 5. Execute a monthly automated chargeback process for sites that exceed certain size limits. 6. Create and update training materials using Captivate. Technical Skills: 1. Expert knowledge of the functionality of Windows SharePoint Services V3 and SharePoint 2010 Foundation 2. Intermediate knowledge of the creation and customization of web parts using out-of-the-box standard functionality 3. Knowledge of SharePoint Designer 2010 and/or Visual Studio is desirable, but not mandatory. 4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and Outlook, including how they integrate with SharePoint Other Skills: 1. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a must. All of the SharePoint users we train and support are English-speaking, so foreign language skills are not required. 2. The ability to collaborate with others and work productively in a team environment are absolute requirements. 3. Problem-solving skills are a must. The candidate must be willing and able to work through SharePoint issues raised by end users. Education and Experience: 1. A minimum of three years of experience with SharePoint WSS V3 and/or SharePoint 2010 2. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences or a related field 3.
