Job Title: Unix Administrator
Location: Clemson, SC
Duration: 6 months
Direct Client Position
Rate: $55/hr on C2C

Manages systems software. Provides technical support in developing,
maintaining, installing, and using operating systems and subsystems for
mission critical systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
Extensive knowledge of Linux, UNIX, and related technologies. Ability to
administer and ensure proper operation, function, and performance of system
software.

RHCT, RHCE, or similar certifications highly desirable.
Good scripting, programming, and automation abilities.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED: EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS (WRITTEN AND ORAL),
ADAPTABILITY, SELF-MOTIVATION, PROBLEM SOLVING, ANALYTICAL THINKING, TIME
MANAGEMENT, ABILITY TO WORK EFFECTIVELY IN A STRESSFUL ENVIRONMENT,
CUSTOMER FOCUSED, DETAIL ORIENTED, TEAM PLAYER

RHEL LINUX BASH SSH SALTSTACK SNMP SVN, C.

Direct Client Position

Required Skills
•  Minimum 8 Years Experience of Solid understanding of the UNIX based
operations system: understands paging and swapping, inter process
communication, devices and device drivers, can perform system analysis and
tuning.
•  Minimum 8 Years Experience of Solid understanding of
networking/distributed computing environments, understanding the principals
of routing, client/server programming, and the design of consistent
network-wide file systems.
•  Minimum 8 Years Experience in programming in at least one, preferably
two administrative languages, (shell, Perl, Tk) and port C programs from
one platform to another, write small s.
•  Minimum 8 Years Experience in ability to identify tasks which should be
automated and then write tools to automate them.
•  Minimum 8 Years Experience in solving problems quickly and completely.
•  Minimum 8 Years Experience in communicating effectively, on both a
technical and non-technical level, with appropriate Agency staff at all
levels, as well as with vendors.
•  Minimum 8 Years Experience handling multiple projects and deadlines.
•  Minimum 8 Years Expertise in Postgress database administration with
EnterpriseDB extensions.
