Job Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: Accomplish software development objectives by
formulating and defining specifications for new or existing complex software
programming applications and implementing same. Develop software programs by
analyzing requirements, preparing specifications; actively participating in
designing, coding, testing, debugging production roll-outs and documenting.
Improve software performance by investigating problems, developing
applications that are in line with the technology trends and conform to
internal technology standards. Leverage Java based Portal products to
deliver web based solutions using content management and security
technologies. Design reusable software components that impact the entire
organization
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination totaling two years from the following categories:
progressively more responsible work experience in IT-related profession
college course work in Information Technology (IT), IT Management, or a
closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or
its proportional equivalent:
60 semester hours or Associate's Degree equals one year
90-120 semester hours or Bachelor's Degree equals two years
Specialization inherent to this position:
*Minimum 7 years application development experience
2 years in Java Standard and Enterprise editions
Experience with agile development methodologies and practices - Java, JEE,
JDBC, JMS, EJB, RMI, XML, WebServices, WSDL, JavaScript, HTML & CSS
Experience with Java based Portal Servers such as WebLogic portal, Web
Sphere portal or Life Ray portal.
Experience with portal standards such as JSR 168.
Experience in using content management with portal servers.*
