Project Manager Rate - $50/-hr Duration - Long term Location: Detroit, MI SUMMARY: General corporate functions applied to IT: budgeting, financial and contracts management, audit, compliance, human resources, training and development ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Working independently within guidelines, responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology. * Typically manages multiple projects of small to moderate size and risk concurrently. Oversees the system development process. * Develops detailed plans and schedules, including goals, risks, and resource allocation. * Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule. * Assists in establishing and improving project management methodologies, procedures and policies. * Adheres to Project Management Office policies, procedures, and methodologies. * Coaches and mentors individuals on the project teams and provides feedback on performance to their leaders * Oversees client/customer relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred * Minimum five (5) years related experience preferred, of which One (1) to Three (3) years experience applying episodes of care and risk adjustment methodologies to analysis and reporting in areas such as provider performance, corporate trend, or disease management. DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS: * Demonstrated knowledge and competency in project management methodology * Intermediate level skills with MS Office Suite and MS Project * Familiarity with issues related to transparency with provider cost and quality reporting a plus Research, identify and analyze health care data to evaluate existing and potential trends/issues. Communicate results of analysis and recommendations to management via presentations and written reports. * Maintain a strong understanding of requirements determination, data organizational structures, testing approaches, report design and development, relevant health care issues and industry initiatives. * Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Our Client's business, products, programs (including provider data, networks, etc.), corporate organizational structure, basic research principles/methodologies. * Superior analytical, communication, planning and coordination skills and ability to address complex issues. * Skills should include the ability to attack issues/factors, technically, analytically and tactically on an individual basis as well as lead a group to consensus or conclusion.
