Position: Hadoop Developer
Location: San Rafael, CA
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:
Mandatory Skills required
*Solid understanding of Data Warehousing design concepts* *and strong SQL
skills including building complex queries and performance tuning*
At least 2 years of solid hands on experience in Hadoop development
including a good understanding of loading and transforming large complex
sets of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data,
configuration of Hadoop Ecosystems, performance tuning of MapReduce Jobs.
Strong knowledge of various Hadoop services, development and implementation
of MapReduce jobs using techniques such as Hive, Pig, Scoop and YARN
architecture
Basic understanding on Apache Spark processing framework used for
large-scale data processing
Experience in one or more RDBMS systems (MySql, Oracle, MS Sql etc) and
interacting with them using ANSI SQL
Experience in writing Unix shell scripts

Preferred Skills
Good understanding of ETL Concepts and experience working with Data
Analysis and Transformation using tools such as Informatica
Basic understanding of Amazon Web Services is a plus
Exposure to integration of Business Intelligence Reporting Solution (such
as Tableau, Business Objects) with various databases
Experience working in an Agile Scrum Team.
