Thanks..! *Title: Software Testing Analyst (Only Local to KS) *Location: Topeka, KS Duration: 4 Month Rate: $35/hr max Start Date: 3/23/09 Requires strong analytical skills to create test scripts, ability to set up testing jobs including JCL and the testing skills to ensure that the software was developed with quality and that meets the business area needs. Knowledge of products such as MS Word, Excel and Visio are preferred. SRS requires augmentation of two staff resources for the following purpose: Create system documentation, perform ongoing maintenance, execute problem reports and enhancements focused on system stabilization, testing and installation of a system that supports our LIEAP program area (Low income energy assistance program). The system consists of online and batch programs. It is written in COBOL. Resources would be expected to follow SRS IT system development life cycle processes. Education on these processes would be conducted by SRS upon arrival. The first task will be to document the system from a technical perspective. The goal is to find quick wins to improve system efficiency, maintainability and quality. The second task will be to work on problem reports and enhancements that will stabilize the system and allow it to execute with quality. Steps in this phase include: design, code, testing and installation. The programs include batch as well as cics online.
