Location : Mounds View, MN Duration : 3+ Months *Minimum 9 to 10 experience required* *Job Description* Seeking an experienced information architect with good usability testing and excellent meeting facilitation and communication skills. This is not a developer or graphic design position. *The UX Architect will work on complex, transactional, responsive web-based systems as part of a shared services organization in Information Technology. The UX Architect will be responsible for guiding UX activities on multiple projects by:* • performing information architecture activities such as cardsorting and tree testing • creating and delivering site maps • creating and delivering interactive wireframes for responsive applications • creating and using personas • producing user interface design documentation as needed on projects • designing protocols and conducting usability tests * The User Experience Architect will be expected to:* • Work effectively under the guidance of a UX lead, or work independently, depending on the project • Operate comfortably in iterative and waterfall methodologies • Provide UX consultation and guidance to project sponsors and implementation teams • Understand usability heuristics and crafting of effective usability requirements • Evaluate and provide heuristic assessment of user interfaces • Work effectively with distributed teams, on- and off-shore team members, and third-party partners • Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with all levels and roles in the organization • Understand and demonstrate the ability to work in a highly-regulated industry • Effectively facilitate working sessions, design reviews and collaborative design meetings • Conduct user research, including usability testing *The right candidate will have experience with the following:* • Wireframing and interactive prototyping • Site mapping and user flows • Cardsorting and tree studies • User research protocols and usability testing (Morae is a plus) • UI Design Documentation • Global teams and systems, including non-English user interfaces • Axure • Visio • Business tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook Not required, but a plus: native mobile application design, graphic design, HTML and CSS The position is located in Mounds View, Minnesota. Travel to local facilities in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area will likely be required. Overtime is not expected.
