Title : System Analysis and Design Lead Location : IL Duration : 6+Months Need US Citizen,Green Card or an EAD Only !!..... MAX Rate : $48/hr Responsible for the design and development of IT systems. Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements. Provide both order-of-magnitude and detailed estimates for software development activities and artifacts. Develops and refines estimating models based on previous project actuals and trends to improve accuracy of estimates. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. Minimum of 10+ years of IT work experience focused in software design with emphasis on RUP and UML. Experience integrating the products and components of the following DB2, J2EE, WebSphere, and Cognos. Health insurance industry background preferred. Strong team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills to lead team efforts System Analysis and Design Lead Major Work Accountabilities: Acts as the end-to-end Data Subject Matter Expert. Provides comprehensive consultation to technical staff and business unit clients in recommending solutions to business problems. Responsible for the design of systems and their subsystems, utilizing an understanding of available system architecture, tools, capabilities, computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and other technical considerations. Applies his/her experience in Healthcare/Insurance industry to influence design outcomes. Develops detailed system requirements, specifications and documents, including but not limited to Source to Target Mapping, Business Process Rules, Data Quality Assessment and Data Profiling (e.g., detailed enough so that programs may be written or modified.) Provide consultative services through all phases of the System Development Life Cycle and support the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of application design decisions. Develops deep understanding of interface points of core business/systems and processes Conducts Data Quality Assessments, prepares Data Profiles and verifies testing strategy, plans and scripts at the system level. Leads and organizes complex JAD sessions to gather requirements. Partners with Business Analysts and other IT staff to ensure the design accomplishes both business and technical requirements Knowledge and Experience: Must have experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. Understands the requirements gathering methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle. Understands a variety of architecture standards and apply them in their design work. Hands-on experience with Rational Unified Process (RUP) including use cases and UML. Proven proficiency in understanding and writing complex SQL. Must be able to design multiple systems integration efforts. Must be able to design using multiple data access and storage mechanisms. Must be proficient in designing distributed client/server or mainframe applications. Experience using Cognos BI platform and Data Stage ETL tools is desired. J2EE design and development experience is desired by not required. Excellent analytical skills. Excellent communication skills (oral and written). 5+ years experience or greater with a background in healthcare, data warehousing and business intelligence.
