Hi Friends, Please send me resumes to sa...@gtechnologiesinc.com *Lead DBA (Teradata)**--OD* Location: Delray Beach , FL Rate: open inclusive Duration: 6+ months Complete Description: • Serves as an expert consultant to applications developers to provide expertise on database capabilities and constraints • Supports application development teams by recognizing and evaluating database issues and implementing solutions. • Performs data modeling; develops physical designs that demonstrate trade-offs between logical design and system performance • Creates logical and physical database designs • Establishes security and replication procedures • Demonstrates expert understanding of database performance tuning, data backup, recovery and security processes/ procedures • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent training and experience; Graduate degree preferred • Approximately 8-12 years experience in related field • 5+ years Teradata DBA (V2R6/TD12/TD13) experience, in a production environment required • Participates in 24x7 on-call support rotation Required Skills • Database Administration and System Monitoring - Comprehensive and practical knowledge of the following: • Extensive experience with system and application troubleshooting, upgrades, workload management, performance tuning, recovery, and capacity planning of the Teradata Database 12/13 in a MP-RAS/Linux environment • Support and implementation of tools and utilities such as Fastload, FastExport, Multiload, TPump, Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT), Data Mover, Viewpoint, Arcmain including Cluster archives • Serve as an expert consultant to application developers to provide expertise on SQL, Macros, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and AJIs/JIs • Strong knowledge of Teradata database administration best practices required • Interface with the latest BIDW technologies such as Cognos, SAS, DataStage • Fundamental knowledge of operating systems and system development Communication/Personal – Strong demonstration of the following: • Ability to multi-task under minimum supervision • Detail-oriented and good follow-up skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with project management and planning experience • Capable to interface closely with internal/external customers and advice on database solutions Thanks & Regards sandi Recruiter G Technologies Inc. 4340 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, CA 95129.
