systems / components and input into projects impacting these parts of the

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:


 

The position is for an Oracle Business Intelligence Designer and Developer
based in Raleigh-Durham. The main responsibility is to provide design
services, development and production support for any projects or
enhancements on the OBI platform.  

 

Design Activities

Design activities undertaken will match the needs of the individual project
or set of enhancements being requested.  Over time, these will include:

 

. Understand and translate business requirements into report and
dashboard GUI designs, possibly including creation of requirements
prototypes and agreeing design with nominated business users

. Identifying appropriate OBI features to use for a given business
requirement, eg alerts, scheduled reports

. OBI repository and web catalog design

. Semantic layer design

. KPI notifications design

. Extending local OBI design standards to meet new design challenges

. Identifying user security issues and designing appropriate
solutions to them

 

Responsibility for data warehouse design does not fall within the scope of
this role, however it is a desirable skill. 

 

Development Activities

Development activities undertaken will also match the needs of the
individual project or set of enhancements being requested.  These will
include:

 

. Report development

. Dashboard development

. KPI notifications development

. Semantic layer development

. Report schedule development

. Configuration management and deployment of components

. Testing of components developed and their integration with the
data source(s)

 

Support Activities

Although the OBI product is not expected to be support-intensive, when
problems occur they will need to be resolved within the new team.  This will

. Escalation of major incidents

. Taking ownership of any issues

 

Management

Deputise for team leader.

The FID Rates IT team supports and develops front office technology used by
the interest rate products and foreign exchange trading desks at Credit
Suisse.  The IT team is split between New York, Raleigh, London, Singapore,

three major IT initiative steams in this area focused on Electronic Trading,

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:  


The FID Rates IT team supports and develops front office technology used by
the interest rate products trading desks at Credit Suisse.  The IT team is
split between New York, Raleigh, London, Singapore, and Tokyo.  Rates is key
a growth area within Credit Suisse.  There are currently three major IT
initiative steams in this area focused on Electronic Trading, Risk, and Core
Trading systems.   Together with a number of business aligned RAD teams, we
deliver key value-adding functionality to the trading desks. Our clients are
primarily front office and will also include interaction with members of
operations, product control, financial control and risk.

 

We seek an individual with development experience to work with Market Data
systems on:

 

. Work with other members of the team and Business Analysts to
develop and implement solutions

. Development of reporting solutions

. Identifying system improvements

 

Experience and skill sets that will be needed in this role are: 5+ years
professional IT experience in developing solutions using a C++ and Reuters
API. Experience with Reuters RMDS interface is a plus

a lot of internal customers/clients, and this group sets up and hosts their
applications and helps build their environment.  They build up the
infrastructure for it, help with installing the applications, etc.  A lot of
what they do is customer facing, so communication skills are important.
They manager about 2700 servers, most of which are virtual servers (about
300 physical servers with the rest virtual and zones, some Linux servers).
They have Sun M4000’s, 5000’s, T5220’s, and on HP they have HPDL385’s,
585’s, etc.  The Solaris they have is Solaris 10, from update 3 up to
current, and the Linux they have is RHEL 4 up to RHEL 5.  Solaris is most
important though.

Daily tasks consist of installation, configuration, troubleshooting of Sun
Solaris and Linux Red Hat servers.  Will also be responsible for monitoring
and installation of patches as needed.  May provide systems integration,
including meeting with various groups to ensure that systems were installed
according to customer's specifications. Must have proven experience working
as a Unix systems administrator in a large enterprise environment with
strong Solaris 10 experience. Experience should include installation,
administration, configuration, and upgrades of large systems. Demonstrated
team experience directly administrating corporate and/or software
development Unix environments.  Required strong ability to lead and
influence in a technical lead role with three to five years experience
designing, developing and deploying architecture within UNIX environments.
This is a senior level Unix System Administrator position, please only

Functional Responsibilities:

 

Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

*   Supporting Promerit application
*   Design, develop and implement interfacing modules with Promerit
*   Contribute whenever possible to the development tasks associated
with other applications with in the product line.
*   Document, troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered in
Production.
*   Understand the bank's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
methodology.  Understand how Support tasks fits with the SDLC process.
*   Work with other members of the DEV/QA/Support team to improve our
processes, tools, methods, effectiveness and efficiency.
*   Familiarize with the applications, tools, feeds, databases, and
batch files etc that are being supported.

Comply with knowledge base management processes.  Ensure that the knowledge
base is maintained with high standard.

Candidate will provide Production/Platform support for EDGE application and

Need strong documentation and coordination/project management experience and
