   - Responsible for Performance testing with successful design, automation,
   and execution of Load Runner testing tool.
   - Responsible for performance analysis and capacity planning.
   - Responsible for creating and maintaining performance test plans and
   scripting of performance scenarios.
   - Responsible for working with development and Infrastructure teams to
   identify root cause of breakdowns and maintain system performance.
   - Responsible for defect reporting, defect verification and metrics
   collection/analysis.
   - Responsible to conduct usage analysis studies of systems, analyzing
   data and mapping for future growth
   - Responsible to test all new hardware, configurations and applications
   before release to production systems

   - At least 8 year of experience in a senior performance testing role in
   testing Web architectures.
   - At least 5 year of experience in a senior testing role using Load
   Runner performance testing tool.
   - Technical skills must include Automation Scripting, T-SQL, PL/SQL and
   XML grammars & parsing
   - Hands-on experience in testing web services security implementations,
   single sign-on and web service federation architectures
   - Hands-on experience in testing data warehouse applications and
   Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
   - Hands-on experience in testing workflow systems and portals, including
   those based on Microsoft technologies and competitive platforms
   - Knowledge of full application life cycle design tools and

Summary

The Senior Cognos developer will be a member of our Technology Reporting

*General statement of duties and responsibilities: *

The candidate will act a liaison between the vendor and grants team from
technical and business standpoint during the life cycle of the grants
implementation.





*Detailed statement of duties and responsibilities:*

   - Act as a liaison between vendor and grants team from technical and
   business standpoint.
   - Act as an integration technical analyst for the Grants Management
   application.
   - Maintain solid understanding of the Grants Management application.
   - Log bugs, communicate application problems to vendor, and facilitate
   vendor efforts to resolve with customer.
   - Facilitate vendor efforts to migrate data from the legacy system to the
   new application
   - Facilitate integration of new application with existing ESE
   architecture components like single sign-on
   - Track all production problems in a defect tracking system.
   - Maintain configuration management of the production system.
   - Perform backup and recovery of production application system.
   - Perform code review of custom code with vendor.
   - Port code from development environment into production.
   - Coordination with staff subject matter experts, technical staff, and
   internal/external stakeholders.
   - Analyze business and user needs, document requirements and translate
   into systems specifications
   - Define configuration requirements for new program
   - Identifying changes to workflow configurations to meet new program
   requirements
   - Perform system configurations and ensure business needs are met
   - Provide technical support for G3(tm) configured solution
   - Troubleshoot system issues
   - Deliver training to end users





*Required Qualifications:*

   - 5+ years programming experience in core JAVA, J2EE, EJB and JMS.
   - Hands-on experience with standard J2EE and associated development tools
   like Weblogic, JBuilder, Eclipse, Ant and JUnit.
   - Experience participating in projects using iterative development
   methodology such as RUP.
   - Experience documenting use cases using UML.
   - Experience with web services in a Java/J2EE environment.
   - Previous experience deploying/integrating third-party software
   - Development experience in Windows 2003/2008.
   - Strong understanding of requirements  for databases supporting
   transactional applications
   - Experience in relational databases and SQL

· Unit testing as well as regression testing.

   - Be able to gather accurate requirements. Ability to articulate the
   needs that are associated with the key problem to be solved or the
   opportunity to be realized.

· Strong skills in listening and documenting efficiently key points
and decisions from meetings.

· Good facilitator and must have excellent communication,
organization, interpersonal and writing skills.

   - Be a strong team player.

*Desired Qualifications:*

   - Previous experience with grants management systems or processes.
   - Experience in working in an educational and/or government agency
   environments.
   - Experience deploying applications in clustered environment.
   - Knowledge of Entrust GetAccess single sign-on security system.
   - Knowledge of MS IIS web server, ASP, .Net, PL/SQL.
   - Previous experience with Clipper-based legacy applications
   - Experience developing application interfacing with Oracle 10g and MS
   SQL 2005/8.
   - Experience successfully migrating legacy data to new transactional
   systems.
   - Experience with performance analysis (including load tester tools like
   Silk (preferred) or JMeter) and resolution of systems performance issues.
