• Participate in functional requirements and design document and other
system life-cycle documentation to meet SDLC and CMMI requirements.

• Code, test, debug, implement, and document programs.

• Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code,
and technical documentation.

• Gather information from existing systems and analyze program and time
requirements.

• Assist the Project Manager in preparing time estimates and justification
for assigned tasks. Supporting project personnel in resolving fairly complex
program problems.

• Work with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming
requirements within their areas of responsibility.

• Provide technical advice on complex programming.

• Communicate verbally and in writing functional requirements to both
technical and non-technical audiences to facilitate the development of
solutions.

• Serve as a technical resource to less experienced personnel.

• Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.

• Must have a complete understanding of the deployment process and perform
deployments as needed.

• Maven - Understand Apache Maven for use as a build tool, dependency
management tool, testing and coverage tool and project documentation
management.  Experience using Maven repositories for third party
dependencies and internally developed artifacts.  Experience configuring
Maven plugins.

• Subversion - Experience using source code management systems, specifically
Subversion.  Specifically code versioning, tagging and branching concepts.
Understanding of connecting to Subversion directly from Eclipse.

• XML/XML Schema/Jibx - Understanding of XML Schema and experience creating
model via XML Schema.  Experience using XML standalone and within Java via
JAXP.  Experience using the Jibx XML binding API.

• JUnit - Experience in writing repeatable tests using the JUnit API and
providing the defined minimal test coverage.

• JIRA - Must have used issue tracking and task management systems,
preferably Jira, for receiving and reporting task, issues and other project
related issues.  Ability to follow documented protocol and procedure with
regard to entering, updating and closing issues and/or tasks.

• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

 Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in software development of
J2EE applications.

• Must be highly proficient and have demonstrated ability in designing,

C++, HTML, JavaScript, JSP, EJB, Spring/Hibernate/iBATIS, JCA, PHP, XML,

Position:Sr.BI Technical consultant
Location: Portland,Oregon
Duration: 6 months


Strong collaborative skills to work across myriad stakeholder group to
translate goals and objectives into technical plan to build solid Solution
models.
Success in designing and facilitating working sessions to transition
business understanding and requirements into solid BI Solutions.
Adaptability in the use of technical management skills including but not
limited to project management, resource management, issue management, etc…
Successfully understand and consume all forms of requirements from
appropriate suppliers and sources (e.g. functional, performance, usability,
compliance, regulatory, technical).
Experience in full life-cycle solution delivery projects (more than 15
people, longer than 6 months).
Experience, interest and adaptability to working in a Waterfall or
Lean/Agile delivery environment.

The skills/tools you will be expected to have:


Software Engineer back ground (4+ years)
Strong SQL skills
Knowledge of Relational and Dimensional data modeling concepts
Informatica
Teradata
Proficient in use of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Visio
Cognos, SAP, BW, BEx and Oracle
