*Please send resume to s...@cncconsulting.com * Job Title: Cobol Programmer Location: Des Moines, IA Duration: 12 Months Direct Client Position in-person interview Rate: $45-50/hr on C2C Resource will be working on the legacy tax system in the Dept. The resource will work on a team of other COBOL developers and will take direction from a team lead. Must be able to work independently. Responsibilities: Experience in all aspects of SDLC including specification development, design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance of complex mainframe applications. Analyze current operations and procedures; evaluate and select practical alternatives and present them to the users; produce design specifications of the selected alternatives; and obtain user approval of selected alternatives Schedule and coordinate the development, testing, and implementation of systems Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation Performance tuning Monitor database performance and space requirements. Communicate accurate and useful status updates. Manage and report time spent on all work activities.
