· Familiarity Cognos v10.2.2 with an emphasis on visualizations and

· Requires extensive experience with Cognos reports/dashboard
development and documentation

· Ability to communicate effectively with other team members

· Consultant will report directly to the Director of Business
Applications

· Will interact with business users as needed, participate in
requirement meetings and handle any user testing as needed per request.

· Ability to document processes, reports, and other Cognos areas as
necessary

· Data modeling, ETL as needed. Analyze existing Cognos Reports and
help in migration to identify the source tables for migration

Role: Cognos Developer

Duration: 4-6 Months

Location: Chicago

Rate: Competitive

 

 

The company has two Cognos conversions they are looking for this person to
complete.  One being a conversion from Cognos 1.1 to 8.4, creating Data
Models and recreating reports.  The application that requires the major
effort for this 1.1 to 8.4 is called NRS (Network Reporting Services) which
uses Oracle.  

 

The other conversion is from 8.2 to 8.4 upgrade, ETL knowledge would
definitely very good.  The name of the application needing the 8.2 to 8.4
upgrade is PDR

(Provider Data Repository) which is a data warehouse which uses ETL
extensively.
