Job Title: Data Security Analyst
Location: Salem, OR
Duration: 6 Months

This position will develop a comprehensive information security* system
security plan that is aligned with the organization’s compliance and risk
requirements. This person will work under the supervision of the
Information Security Officer as part of the information security team
coordinating with OIS and within the organization as required. The
candidate for this role should demonstrate professional experience applying
information security principles in large, diverse organizations with
protected or regulated information. Prior experience in health care, social
services, and state government preferred. Additionally, experience
implementing NIST SP 800-53 and dealing with audits is preferred.

This role requires someone who:
Communicates technical details in plain English verbally and in writing
Deals well with ambiguity
Is able to break large problems into smaller pieces in order to accomplish
the project in the desired timeframe
Is mature and a self-starter requiring minimal supervision
Is familiar with project management principles
Has hands-on experience with NIST SP 800-53v4 and is familiar with
information security audits
Has experience developing policy, processes, and/or security frameworks
Leads through consensus and is a team player
Is results focused

Information security differs from IT security because information security
is a risk and compliance based approach to identifying and assessing the
risks to an organization’s information. The focus is on physical,
personnel, and technical standards through the lifecycle of an
organization’s information when the organization receives it, through its
processing and storage, and finally when it is stored, destroyed, or
disseminated. Common information security references are NIST SP 800-53 and
ISO 2700X.

Job Title: Data Security Analyst

Duration: 5 Months

The Oregon Division of Administrative Services – Enterprise Technology
Services (ETS) is seeking a Senior Data Security Analyst to support the
security upgrades for Sustainability and MAGI projects.

Scope of Work - The selected consultant will be required to:
Evaluate the security stance of state and local and wide area networks,
Recommend changes to network devices and firewalls to improve security
protection and, Coordinate solutions and resolve resource competition
issues.

Furthermore the consultant will be required to implement:
Implement security technologies for the protection of information
resources, and Implement security measures for the protection of ETS
customer data.

Additional required tasks will include:
Recommend solutions regarding issues of data level security in support of
ETS customer business objectives, and Review and implement changes to
access control lists on Cisco brand firewall equipment

General Skills/Knowledge Required:
The selected consultant must have a solid background in current network
security technologies, system and process development methods and the use
of computing resources. The consultant must have a strong knowledge of the
principles of network fundamentals, operating systems, hardware standards
and the impact to statewide customers. Proposals must reflect strong
technical analytical skills in a secure data-center environment and the
ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical customers.

Specific Technical Skills/Knowledge: This position will primarily work on
Cisco firewalls (FWSM and ASA firewalls) with minor tasks on Cisco
switches/routers. We need strong expertise with Cisco firewalls. As the
migration project progresses, there will be less Cisco firewall work, and
more F5 Firewall work. So, although it is not the immediate need, we are
seeking experience with F5 BiglP (11.5.x) -- modules = AFM, LTM, APM, ASM.

Additional required experience one or more years of current experience
writing rules on Cisco firewall and working in complex environments.

Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCNS
