Job Title: Data center migration Consultant (REMOTE) Duration: 4+ Months Contract Job Description: Client is seeking a strong Application Infrastructure Migration Sr. Advisor to join our IT Consulting Practice. As a key member of the data center transformation team, successful candidates will leverage their background in infrastructure and applications to develop comprehensive move packages to aid in migration planning. Responsibilities: Deliver a continuous Exceptional Customer Experience Analyze discovery dependency data Consult with customer to gather application data Perform SQL queries to build move packages Perform interviews to gather move requirements Build application move packages based on the output of discovery data and analysis Required Skills: 8-10 years of IT consulting experience 3-5 years of system administration experience 3-5 years of experience in networking, including understanding of network protocols and firewalls Knowledge and experience with both x86 and RISC based operating systems, e.g. Windows, UNIX, etc… 1-2 years of experience writing SQL queries Demonstrated understanding of Application Infrastructure architecture, including protocols, services, and ports Strong analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to act as the SME on multiple projects and exhibit leadership skills Desired Skills: Previous leadership experience is a plus 3-5 years of data center transformation experience 3-5 years of application development experience with languages such as C, C#, Visual Basic, .NET, Python or scripting languages Experience with or understanding of discovery tools, e.g. EMC/VMware Application Discovery Manager, BMC Atrium Discovery & Dependency Mapping, etc… Understanding of what protocols are impacted by LAN to WAN migrations Basic understanding of VMware ESX/ESXi Basic understanding of Microsoft Visio Thanks, Jack Dorsan Please send your updated resume to jack.dor...@panzersolutions.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
