*BASIC FUNCTION*:
The Lead DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the processes, developer
productivity tools, related infrastructure and the ongoing maintenance of
these, that is required to support multiple software development teams, in
a fast paced Agile environment.

*Principal DevOps Engineer Responsibilities:*

· Design and setup Build, CI, Code Quality and Artifact Repository tools to
enhance developer productivity.

· Work directly with developers to coordinate and identify engineering
process automation.

· Build automation for system configurations, application upgrades,
monitoring and rollout of tools.

· Work with cross functional teams to manage requirements, dependencies,
and streamline parallel development.

· Maintain and manage source control, build systems and artifact
repository, provide necessary level of administration support.

· Implementation and continual focus on expanding Continuous Integration
using Jenkins.

· Manage the standardization of tools and processes used in
a DevOps culture.

· Maintain operational, configuration, and other Standard Operating
Procedures for the various tools.

· Maintains source code repositories including regular clean-up, archival
and maintenance of the repository machines.

· Ensures that component and build versioning standards are helping the
teams and are being adhered to in the automated systems.

· Manage and lead in the development and maintenance of the build
environment, hardware and software.

· UNIX Script debugging, development and deployment within the build
environment and all related environments.

· System Administration (UNIX, Win, Mac, Linux) of build environments.

· UNIX scripting for build packaging and environments.

· Develop, implement and document best practices for ongoing parallel
development, featuring branching, merging, and common library management.

· Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing
new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job
accomplishments.

· Managing TFS environment.

· Working in a fast-paced environment while successfully completing
multiple projects at the same time.

· Assist in the troubleshooting of broken builds when necessary.

*Experience:*

·  Leading or managing a team of engineers a must (You are starting
this team!)

·  3+ years of Linux Red Hat administration / systems engineering
experience

·  3+ years of Windows administration / systems engineering
experience

·  Experience in SCM administration – GIT, TFS, SVN, Stash

·  Expert knowledge of Jenkins and build tools: Maven, Gradle,
MSBuild

·  Proven ability to automate software and application
installation, setup and configuration

·  Experience in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous
Deployment (CD), build/release/production deployments in Cloud/Saas/Paas
environments

·  Advanced scripting knowledge (Korn, Python, Bash, Powershell)

·  Strong knowledge of build artifact repositories such as Nexus

·  Strong ability to document standards, find possibility of
automation

·  Strong knowledge and experience with Azure or willingness to
learn

*Position Summary*

The Middleware DevOps Engineer is a highly motivated resource focused on
working hand-in-hand with other technical support, application support,
development support, implementation and service teams. This role works in a
24/7/365 highly available, on-call environment.



· Must have DevOps tools/technologies experience; implementation of
tools such as Puppet, Ansible. Automation skills with scripting WLST,
python, shell etc. is required. Application Deployment tools is a plus such
as Jenkins, AnthillPro, Ant, Maven etc.

· Must have experience with implementation and support of Release
Orchestration Engines such as CA release automation, Ansible Tower,
ServiceNow orchestration etc.

· Provide support for all stages of Weblogic implementation and/or
Java container related issues and triage application issues as related to
the J2EE container.

· Identify any bottlenecks in the messaging infrastructure (MQ,
JMS, OSB) and provide quick fixes to ensure that the SLA’s are meet and
future prevention with a thorough root cause analysis.

· Skilled in implementing high availability, fault tolerant
strategies, and load balancing.

   - Experienced technical knowledge in specialty area with basic knowledge
   of complementary infrastructures.
   - Strong fundamental knowledge of Linux, Solaris and Windows operating
   systems.
   - Experience with messaging systems like IBM MQ, Oracle Service Bus and
   Weblogic based messaging technologies.
   - Experience working with J2EE containers like Oracle Weblogic Server,
   IBM Websphere.
   - Experience configuring internet facing URL’s and securing it with
   centralized authentication systems like CA SiteMinder.
   - A fast learner with ability to dive into new products and
   technologies, develop subject matter expertise and drive projects to
   completion.
   - A team player with good written and verbal communication skills that
   can mentor other members in the production support group.
   - Manage middleware environments and provide support to application and
   business teams.
   - Troubleshoot Oracle Weblogic Server performance issues independently
   and/or in conjunction with other Middleware Engineers and Oracle database
   administrators.
   - Configure and troubleshoot internet facing web portals and analyze
   apache web servers, CA SiteMinder web agent logs to identify any web
   related issues.
   - Provide detailed root cause analysis and suggest workarounds and/or
   solutions for recurring issues.
   - Work independently and collaboratively with other support
   organizations to troubleshoot system and application issues.



*Position Requirements*
A minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience in working in production and
pre-production support.

Candidate must demonstrate ability to work collaboratively be able to
provide direction and assistance with diagnostics and troubleshooting using
critical problem solving techniques. Candidate must have hands on
experience working in a mixed infrastructure environment of
Linux/Solaris/Windows. Candidate must have DevOps experience with
automation tools, release orchestration engines, experience with
programming. The candidate should demonstrate outstanding oral and written
communication skills. Must have strong team focus and client service work
ethic.
