Job Purpose:  The Senior ETL (Extract, Transfer, Load) Developer is
responsible for the movement of data into and out of the Enterprise Data

Key Responsibilities:

Work in an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment tasked to build a

Tech’s systems.
Develop ETL jobs primarily in IBM Data Stage, that satisfy identified
business process and data models.
Troubleshoot and help improve existing ETL jobs.
Follow set standards and best practices in ETL development. Refactor
existing jobs that do not follow set standards.
Provide guidance in some Data Stage administration tasks such as scheduling
jobs, troubleshooting job errors, identifying issues in unusually long
running jobs, etc.
Work with other development units in improving best practices in ETL
development for Georgia Tech.
Monitor nightly loads and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Maintain technical support documentation.

Sr. ETL Developer is responsible for compilation of business requirements,
analysis, design, build, test, deploy of data integration solutions,
converting business requirements into technical specifications that include
source target mappings, design and architecture. He/she will perform the
end to end tasks associated with establishing the data integration platform
for extracting, transforming, and outputting data to the project
specifications for downstream reporting needs.


* Key Responsibilities:*

- Work with business and gather business requirements related to data
integration

- Analyze, Design, Build, Test, Deploy suitable data extraction solutions
(Web Service calls using the Talend Open Studio Tool)

- Provide installation, configuration and support of ETL processes,
programs, environment, etc.

- Derive business logic and provide technical specs to data
integration/reporting team

- Develop data output solutions as required by business for staging/ftp
output

- Educates and provides consultation to teams on ETL best practices, data
standards, industry best practices, and new technologies.

- Where necessary, prepare and maintain data flows and high level STMs

- Establish partnerships with business departments

- Define, measure and publish data and project metrics



*Qualifications*

-  Bachelor’s degree with a focus on computer science or equivalent 5+
years of experience

- 5+ years of experience in ETL Development

- Project experience leveraging Talend Open Studio for Web Service
Integration

-  Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills and demonstrated
ability to work comfortably independently with all levels within an
organization and across business function

-  Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and that meet
client requirements

- Data integration experience required

- Additional considerations will be given to candidates with any of the

*Minimum Qualifications *
