The Java/Infrastructure analyst provides support for the test/development and production server environments, creation of RAD workspaces, supporting Subversion, maintaining Development WebSphere admin console, co-ordination with client technical staff, co-ordination with vendors for software issue resolution, SLA attainment and Load test participation, and build script management for a complex technical environment. The technical environment includes distributed web systems with RAD, Subversion, Hudson, Java and WebSphere across 6 environments. The Java/Infrastructure analyst will also assist with other tasks such as minimal Java coding, Java exception resolution, and creating checklists for software rollouts. The candidate should have strong communication skills. Required Skills • Must have a minimum of 2 years java development experience. • Must have java exception resolution experience (WebSphere application server log analysis experience, stack trace analysis experience). • *Must have experience with IBM technology*, specifically application server (WebSphere Application Server), web servers (IBM HTTP Server) • Must have strong communication skills • Must have demonstrated ability to properly troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly • Must be a Team player, collaborative and supportive of a cooperative work environment • Preferred - Prior experience with servers (AIX, VMware), exposure to databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL), and exposure to designing infrastructure. • Preferred - knowledge of the Configuration Management and Configuration management concepts and tools. Knowledge of Subversion and Serena Version Manager preferred. • Preferred - Working knowledge of Unix/Linux OS and Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.
