*Need        :Technical Analyst (disaster recovery )Location:McLean, VA 
Duration:6+months*
 
technical analyst who understands applications, servers and databases and 
how they work in an infrastructure environment.  Their role will be to 
verify that the disaster recovery environment can perform all the functions 
similar to the production environment.  They will probably be developing 
testing procedures that outline what steps are needed to bring up the 
disaster recovery environment in the case of an emergency and the 
production environment goes down.
Bottom line - candidates must be technical analysts with some level of 
disaster recovery experience.  If they have experience with ClearCase, 
SharePoint, and BladeLogic, these are good, but I’ll still submit if they 
don’t have hands on experience with them.
 
*Responsibilities *
Receives IBM deliverables, coordinates the verification | verifies them, 
stores them in CLEARCASE, and exports them to appropriate BLADELOGIC job. 
Participates as needed in the ITDR OORDRDC test and activities as needed 
and directed. 
Stores evidences as directed and as needed in the appropriate SHAREPOINT 
and DMS stores. 
Apply knowledge, experience, and common sense to analyze and report to 
others on the Service Continuity Management (SCM) team. 
Follow established practices to produce quality output about Information 
Technology (IT) Disaster Recovery (DR) topics. 
Follow and improve practices evidence collection. Works with IT Subject 
Matter Experts (SMEs) and Business User (BUs) to explain the process of 
evidencing succeses. 
Employs extensive professional expertise as a generalist or specialist. 
Represent SCM’s positions when needed. Work is accomplished with direction. 
Acts to help the team on advanced technical research studies and 
applications. 
 
*Basic Requirements* 
College Degree or equivalent experience 
Demonstrated ability to build consensus at various levels. Understands how 
to identify unresolved and unresolvable differences. Knows when and how to 
escalate the same. And, always provides a solution or path to a solution. 
Some Experience with IT Disaster Recovery, or at least familiarity. 
IT General Controls, audit, and / or remediation experience 
Some consulting or sales experience 
Familiarity of Big 4 consulting and / or IBM methodology 
Understand / follow strategic roadmaps and conversion plans to ensure 
objectives of the DR strategy can be met operationally and effectively. 
Experience conducting disaster recovery vendor risk assessments for 3rd 
party vendors. 
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed. 
Demonstrable skill: Windows7, Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, 
Sharepoint, Visio. 
Some level of skill at: Clearcase, Bladelogic. 
Familiarity at one of more scripting languages required 
Skill in MS-Project (not MS-Project Server) and Mindjet Mindmanager 2012 is 
a plus.
