*Need : WPF DeveloperLocation: New York, NYDuration: 6-12 months contract* *****MUST BE *LOCAL FOR A FACE TO FACE******* ******FINANCIAL EXPERIENCE* WOULD BE A BIG PLUS BUT I WILL TRY PEOPLE WITHOUT IT***** *Main Function*The Risk Finance Portal Framework (RFPF) is a UI framework that hosts most of the new internal based applications developed within Risk, Finance and ESS (HR, Legal, Compliance) with a user base of over 5000 users. The Framework allows the creation of applications from a collection of modules developed by the same or independent development teams and links these together via a workflow and event model. This role is for a senior software developer who will design and deliver high quality C# code under direction of a project manager and unit manager *Main Duties* Delivers the functionality requested by the Project Manager / Technical Architect and other RFPF stakeholders, including: Rapidly learn the existing generation of the framework and Finance systems that rely on it. Coding and unit testing of future generations of the framework. Work with testers to verify the solution. Rework defects and take part in defect analysis. Participate in UX / UI design of future solution. Understand the Investment Banking domain and Finance systems. Grow the framework to include requirements from dependent applications. Advise other application development teams on their applications and provide functionality to be used across the Finance IT group. Evangelise the framework and its benefits to other application development teams. Help support other development teams in using the framework. Provide help to the Support team on production support issues. Person Requirements Essential A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Management or related discipline. Preferred An appropriate combination of education and directly related experience may satisfy this requirement. Experience and Skills required: *Essential * Hands-on, project experience * with WPF and .NET 3.x or 4.x *At least 6 years application development experience of which the last * 4 years have been on C# technologies. WCF Multi-threading Visual Studio 2008 or later Good OO Design Design patterns (experienced with at least one of the following: MVVM or CAL/Prism). Oracle PL-SQL database programming Test-Driven Development MSTest *Proven ability to work within a team environment. Clear and fluent English verbal and written communication skills. Ability to make good/sound decisions and use independent judgment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Interested and excited by technology: keeps up to date; regularly reads/writes blogs; participates in SIGs, etc. *Preferred * Microsoft Expression Blend Good knowledge of Colors /Styling/ graphics/themes Continuous Integration (CC.NET, TeamCity) Full project lifecycle for complex applications MVC design pattern NUnit NCover (or other coverage tools) FXCop Perforce (preferred), ClearCase or other enterprise source control tool.
