Role: Business Consultant Date resource is required: 11/15/2009 Anticipated end date: 06/30/2010 Location: Charlotte, NC Rate:$50/hr on C2C Position Description: Organizes, leads, and facilitates cross-entity, enterprise wide redesign initiatives that will encompass an end to end analysis and future state redesign that requires specialized knowledge or skill critical to the redesign effort. Develops root cause analysis and business case for proposed technology, staff and structure changes, including cost estimates. Establishes standards for measuring performance against process requirements. Aligns projects to management strategy. Produces new process improvement techniques and services. Develops metrics that provide data for process management indicators for future improvement opportunities. Identifies and manages resources, including cross-entity members, to successfully execute projects. Provides consultation on the use of reengineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality. May support to M&A integration efforts, possibly taking a lead role. Coaches multiple redesign teams in six sigma process and tools. Drives business awareness of quality/process methodology. Minimum Experience: 12+ years process design exp, strong understanding of financial controls and risk. Graduate coursework preferred. Relevant, recent hands on experience is paramount. 4) Candidate must be able to hit the ground running with documentation templates, be able to set priorities, and provide documentation structure 4) Phone interview first, then face to face (only if candidate is in Charlotte) 5) Start Date is November 15, 2009 Provides operational and logistical support for documenting processes and standardizing documentation. Collects data and performs process modeling documentation functions, and creates documentation templates. Determines process efficiencies, and documentation best practices. Essential Functions 1. 70-80% Coordination and production of process and documentation deliverables. Activities may i! nclude: . Utilize appropriate software applications and apply creative technology to produce deliverables (e.g. manuals, brochures, marketing materials, key manager and board reports, IT annual report, ITOM process models, workflows) . Coordinate production of process workflows materials, documentation templates, and/ or version control . Provide administrative and technical support for unit (e.g. proofreading, updating materials, documentation, management of databases/ distribution lists) . Work with clients and vendors to meet deadlines for deliverables . Collect and coordinate documentation and process model/workflow feedback from internal employees . Collect and proof all documentation of processes, templates, and presentations . Coordinate and support organizational modeling, and process flow migration definition/documentation . Provide support for process/workflow engagements to SME analysts and consultants . Assists in management of process and documentation inquirie! s and requests from clients . Provides status updates on progr! ess, iss ues, and risks . Write copy as needed . Some positions may provide research assistance . Assist with special assignments and projects . May provide input on strategy, techniques and implications . Incorporate TQM into all accountabilities 2. 20-30% - Administrative and technical support (distribution list maintenance, version control, proofreading, editing, Website management) 3. 5-10% Perform all other duties as assigned Level Distinction . Learning Level . Work may be primarily support and administrative with basic technical work performed under close supervision . Typically has 0-3 years experience in a related field (e.g. analyst, Six Sigma, ITOM modeling, CMM, Industrial Engineering) Skills/ Knowledge Required (minimum): . This position is accountable for meeting the Wachovia Core Competencies and any additional Divisional competencies . Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. Computers, Business management/Administration, Industrial Engineering), or equivalent experi! ence . Basic knowledge of ITOM, ITIL, Six Sigma . Basic project management skills . Good knowledge of PC software applications knowledge . Strong written and verbal communication skills . Strong organizational and analytical skills . Working knowledge of financial services products . Familiarity with process documentation/efficiencies strategies Helpful: . Some positions may require basic desktop publishing knowledge . CISSP/CISA . Proficiency with MS Visio . Basic MS Office skills - PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel . Adobe Reader/Writer . TQM Other Requirements . General office environmental conditions prevail.
