Description:

*General Position Description:*

Consults and collaborates with various project team members such as Sales
Engineers, Project Managers, Field Technicians and external personnel to
ensure the successful deployment of client installations. The Consulting
Engineer will be responsible for assessing, planning, designing,
integrating and installing networks for both large enterprise clients as
well as small corporate networks.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):*

· Perform complex evaluation of client networks and apply knowledge
to determine proper recommendations to the client that help support Nexus
business objectives.  Networks can range from single site to multi-site.

· Assess networks and understands the interaction of different
technologies, and when appropriate collaborate with other engineers to
provide proper network solution.

· Implement client network solutions in an environment that varies
and is dynamic.

· Travel is required for this position.  Estimated travel is ten
percent (10%) to twenty-five (25%), depending upon client installation
location. Travel is general to the region assigned.



*Experience, Skills and Abilities:*

· A minimum of three year’s network security experience is
required.  Preferably with someone who has acted in a lead or sole engineer
on large, multi-site multi-platform systems.*Strong Cisco infrastructure
skills required multiple firewall experience (PIX, ASA and Checkpoint).
Preferably possesses five (5) plus, deployment experience with Catalyst
4500, 6500, Nexus 2k/5k/7k*.This includes, for example, extensive
knowledge of network design, implementation, infrastructure and
troubleshooting.

· Must possess knowledge and experience with deploying Cisco
switches and routers in enterprise environments.

· Must possess a foundational knowledge of wireless networking and
how it interacts with other applications and solutions.

· Any additional knowledge in other technologies is a plus.

· Must be able to meet implement network solutions successfully
which are aligned with company objectives and procedures.

· Must possess an ability to collaborate and work successfully with
teams vital to the role.

· Excellent oral and written communication customer service skills
required

· Excellent client management resolution, problem solving, and
troubleshooting skills are required

· Excellent verbal communications and written documentation skills
are required

· Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet
clients' needs

· Ability to travel as required by company

· The person in this role must demonstrate the ability to appear to
work on time, accept constructive criticism, and understand and follow work
rules and procedures.



*Education: *

·  Cisco Certification of CCNP or higher is required (CCIE
Preferred), or equivalent work experience.
