*Title: Ruby on rails developer* *Location: Wilmington, DE* Global Debt Registry is seeking an experienced full stack Rails developer who is knowledgeable in all layers of development including system and database architecture and application development. They will be a key participant through all phases of the development lifecycle including design, development and deployment. To be successful in this position, you must be a self-starter, and enjoy working with a highly collaborative team in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple and concurrent tasks. *Essential Functions and Responsibilities* - Develop high-quality, production ready and standards compliant applications - System administration for applications at hosted managed service provider - Maintain cutting edge knowledge of emerging technologies, trends and standards *Qualifications* - Proven commercial application development experience using Ruby on Rails with 3 to 5 years full-time web development, at least 2 of which was with Ruby on Rails - System administration skills with Linux - Expertise in core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) - Strong expertise in MySQL query development, optimization and administration - Experience with Agile development - Solid analytical and communication skills - Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment and work on projects against deadlines - Experience deploying highly scalable, highly available applications in a secure environment - Must be able to operate independently, but willing to ask for help when needed - Background in Financial Services and PCI compliance · Amazon Cloud Computing (AWS) experience preferred · Looking for someone that considers themselves “the best” on their team · The candidate should have a passion for the development craft · Candidate should be aware and involved in technology community (forums, meetups, open source community, etc · Candidate will work on small team (3 or 4).
