*Solaris Admin* *Location: Santa Clara, CA* *Duration: 6 months* * * * * *Key Focus: Solaris 10, Zone and ZFS* *Responsibilities*
· Architect, configure and manage Solaris 10 infrastructure to support Oracle ERP and Agile environments · Identify and propose strategic technical solutions targeted to improve IT process, efficiency, solve business problems, eliminate waste and ensure compliance. - Provide operations support including access and account management, workflow, log analysis, troubleshooting and service optimization - Provide senior level leadership to the Information Technology team, assist with mentoring and providing technical guidance to more junior staff members - Assist in the analysis, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of supporting Windows and Linux servers - Design and deploy best practices regarding security, system monitoring, change control, service level agreements and assist in the creation of the company’s infrastructure policies and standards - Work with IT managers and staff to analyze and resolve problems associated with technical issues, and recommend solutions for changing needs - Provide support for DBA team and Application Analysts for Enterprise application deployments *Requirements* - Minimum of 10 + years of experience supporting Information Technology infrastructure - 8+ years of hands-on experience with installation, configuration and administration of Solaris/Oracle environments and current experience of Solaris 10, ZFS and Zone technology - Ability to architect, engineer and support Oracle ERP and Agile, in a multi-tiered environment - Knowledge of Unix scripting for the automation of routine tasks and maintenance - Current experience of Oracle Sparc Hardware; M5000, M4000, T4-2, T5200, v245, v445 and v890 - Understanding of Hitachi AMS1000, EMC VNX5700 SANs, Brocade 5100 switches, and/or equivalent knowledge of Fiber Channel SAN Architecture - Configuration and administration of Hitachi HDLM, EMC PowerPath, MPxIO, SAMBA and Sharity - Experience with disaster recovery, backup and restoration, along with replication technologies such as Symantec NetBackup, DataDomain, Oracle Data Guard and EMC Recover Point - Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple problems and issues with minimal supervision, excellent organizational skills, a teamwork approach to work but also act independently to solve problems when necessary - Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, resiliency in the face of continual change and ability to handle high demands - Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including on call after-hours support and candidate must also live in the San Jose/Silicon Valley area Thanks and Regards, *Kavita Singh* *Tamvid, Inc.* 100 Trade Center, Suite G-700 Woburn, MA 01801 Phone: 781 330-0086 Fax: 617-934 1770 kav...@tamvid.net ------------------------------------------- Visit our Facebook page goo.gl/rYFG2 and follow us on Twitter goo.gl/o6T81 Note: If you have received this mail in error please reply to us with "Remove" in subject.
