*Job Description*:
Portal Developer
Analyzing, designing, developing and implementing portlets for Enterprise
portals using SDLC methodology and software development best practises.
Expert knowledge and experience developing portlets using Spring Portlet
MVC framework, WebSphere Portal 6.1 and JSR 168 standard is extremely
important.
Expert knowledge and development experience with Java,
J2EE,JSP,JDBC, JAXB, servlets, RAD6/ RAD7, DAOs, JUnit, SQL, HTML, XML,
JAX-WS,WSDL.  REST-0bject approach also needed.
Experience designing Enterprise services and message model schemas and
creating UML diagrams for design phase deliverables.
Demonstrated experience with Spring MVC, Hibernate, CXF,SOAP.
Development experience on the WebSphere Application Server platform.
Experience deploying and testing portals. Solid knowledge of SOA,
Object-Oriented design and
programming concepts, design patterns.
Ability to train and mentor others on portal/ portletdevelopment. Solid
understanding of relational databases and DB2. Excellent verbal and written

Rate:$50/Hour.

Location: Chicago, IL

Desired Start Date: 11/2/2009

Anticipated End Date: 12/31/2009 (will be reviewed for extension)

Responsibilities:

   - Hands on WebSphere Portal 6.1 expert to help with a portal conversion
   POC project.
   - Responsibilities include working with the team to understand current
   state, and provide suggestions on portal conversion.
   - Help identify out of the box Portal functions that can be leveraged.
   - Educate the team about portal functions.
   - Be proactive in identifying potential issues with conversion strategy.
   - Provide custom solution for the application conversion.

Skills Required:

   - WebSphere portal v. 6.1
   - Portal personalization and customization of various types
   - Portal security setup with LDAP.
   - Virtual Directory Service experience a plus.
   - Portal migration process
   - Virtual portals
   - Portal 6.1 themes and skins
   - Portal 6.1 with Web 2.0
   - Spring MVC
