Sr. Application Developer that is highly skilled in Java with good
experience in Search Technologies.The successful candidate will have a
strong command of software programming, latest web technologies and
frameworks.  Will not be buildling web based applications but will be
developing APIs that will interact with the Enterprise Search Application.
Think Search as a Service. They used to use Oracle databse to search
transactions, however they migrated that information to Solr and now will
be using Solr to create search services.  Candidates should have strong
core Java, experience building APIs, and experience with Solr, Junit,
Mongo, and Node.JS.

Responsibilities

Role Description

• System Administration

o Maintenance

o Monitoring

• Experience with Enterprise Manager,
Operations Manager

• Monitoring/managing overall system health

• Monitoring/tuning environment configuration
and settings

• Monitoring/advising for addressing long
running reports

• Periodic auditing/reporting for inactive users

o Installation, configuration, upgrading of software components
for major/minor/patch releases

o Support performance testing, etc.

o Aid in developing/implementing/testing disaster recovery
strategy and mechanisms for MicroStrategy architecture

o Capacity planning and management



• Troubleshooting/Issue Resolution

o Help reproduce production issues for logging tickets with
Tech Support

o Analyze Intelligence Server and Web Server logs while
troubleshooting

o Change logging settings if needed

o Run queries against Netezza and PostgreSQL databases as
required for issue research

o Submitting and managing issues and enhancement cases with
MicroStrategy for administration/environment related items

Lead Software Developer with experience building both web based and client
based .NET applications using the best practices of SOA architectures and
using VB .NET 2.0. Responsibilities include interpreting software
requirements specifications, programming, implementing, and maintaining
+code according to A]\SP.NET standards, performing Unit testing. Also
developing appropriate documentation, participating in code reviews and
interfacing with an off-shore development team giving technical guidance
and direction.
Minimum 2 years experience with .NET development environment including C#,
ASP.NET, ADO.NET., IIS.
Strong Web Development experience and knowledge of DHTML, JavaScript and
DOM Level 2. Experience working with a decentralized team, e.g. shared
development with an off-shore team. Experience with integrating Microsoft
with other technologies, e.g. J2EE. Experience with JavaScript using the
Document Object Model for dynamic manipulation of client side HTML
elements. Experience in Agile development, experience with Team Foundation
Server, including entering User Stories, Bugs, Enhancements, Burndown, and
working with offshore resources. Experience with stfSoft, deep experience
with the full Microsoft BI stack, including: SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS,
SharePoint.
Excellent Communication Skills. Consuming Web Services (SOAP). XHTML,
DHTML, DOM Level 2.HTML, Stylesheet, Client and Server end scripting,
Visual Source Safe, Microsoft Report Analysis Service, XBRL.
Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) or 5 yrs IT experience.
