*Windows AdminLocation: Bismark, ND* *Duration: 12+* *Rates: $48/hr* *Interview mode: Phone hire* *STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:* Design, install, administer, and optimize company servers and related components to achieve high performance of the various business applications supported by tuning the servers as necessary. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring all new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* *•4+ years of experience installing, configuring and supporting Windows Servers.* *•Administer user domain accounts across various domain servers. * *•Monitor and analyze server performance throughout the Organization.* •Provide guidance and recommendations for continuously improving server usage and performance. •Perform research and development on new Microsoft platforms •Interacts with network services, hardware technicians, programmers and help desk staff to restore service and correct core problems. •Maintain servers with critical updates and patches. •Where applicable assist in overseeing the physical security, integrity, and safety of the data center/server farm. •Troubleshoot and research server log messages. •Setup and maintain backups for File Servers, SQL servers, Mail Servers, Application Servers using backup software. •Monitor backup logs to assure successful backups are obtained and report failed backups appropriately. •Verify system backup and restore procedures. •Departmental financial report is managed within budget. *•Attains overall bottom line defined as: Total Gross Revenue - Total Deductions and Adjustments + Other Operating Revenue * *- Operating Expenses + or - Affiliation Gain/Losses, Less Investment Results = Overall Bottom Line.* •Effectively participates on a performance improvement initiative.
