*Java Developer*
*6-12 Month Contract*
**Candidate must be local to NYC, on-site interview required**
**Candidate must have Financial Industry background within the last 1-3
years, preferably last position**
*Process:* Phone Interview, then face to face(have to be local to NYC)
*Skills Required:*
1. The candidate should have at least Bachelor degree in Technology and a
minimum of 5 years of working experience in implementing and supporting
data intensive enterprise financial applications.
2. The candidate should have strong understanding of the Financial Services
industry and familiar with financial data such as trades, positions,
transactions, etc.
3. The candidate must be a skilled Java developer, and have strong
knowledge and hands-on experience with core Java and JEE, for example,
JDBC, Web services and web technologies such as JSP and Servlet with
JavaScript. He or she should have hands-on experience on Java framework
Spring and/or Struts.
4. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in
database systems (DB2 and/or Sybase) and sound SQL skills.
5. The candidate should have Perl/Shell scripting experience in UNIX/Linux
Environment.
6. The candidate should be disciplined, detail-oriented and
delivery-focused, and adaptive. He or she should have strong verbal and
written communication skills.
*Responsibilities:*
- Hands-on technical expertise on the Java, Database, UNIX, and
desirable Perl/Shell scripting. This person will join the existing
development team to implement solutions to critical business initiatives.
- Financial Services experience, preferably in Capital Markets
