*Location of Work: Houston, TX * *Contract Duration: 3 Months* *Minimum Requirements:* *Minimum Requirements for this position: * A minimum of 5 years in a PeopleSoft System Administration or similar role in a business of similar size and complexity. Minimum of one major PeopleSoft upgrade. Advanced knowledge of the installation, administration, monitoring and tuning of PeopleTools 8.5x and PeopleSoft 9.x infrastructure components - Application server, Web server, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker and database. Ability to independently perform concise and thorough problem analysis for PeopleSoft infrastructure components as well as SQRs, PeopleCode, Application Messaging, and Application Engines. Strong knowledge of Application Designer and Data Mover. Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server version 2008 and above. Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL). Experience with PeopleSoft Security administration. Strong knowledge of Change/Upgrade Assistant and Upgrade methodologies for application and PeopleTools upgrades. Working knowledge of SOX and document control systems. Ability to multi-task and establish priorities. Experience with Change Control Tools is a plus. *Description:* This engagement is for a senior level PeopleSoft System Administrator. The position has responsibility for administration and maintenance of the ERP environments across the organization. This includes analysis, planning, and design for new ERP environments as well as upgrade and production support of existing environments. The PeopleSoft System Administrator will work closely with Applications, Database Administration, Operations, Network, and Security teams within the IT organization to build and deliver a stable and secure environment. *Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Configure, debug and support the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) for various environments of the Financials/Supply Chain Management, Human Capital Management, Enterprise Performance Management, and Enterprise Learning Management applications. Isolate and troubleshoot technical problems in the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) and all related infrastructure components. Monitor all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommend modifications that will enhance application performance. Apply environment patches, bundles and upgrades, including testing, documentation and implementation. Analyze, design, implement and administer security within PeopleSoft applications. Perform complete installs of PeopleTools 8.5x and PeopleSoft 9.x at all tiers, tools and application. Assist in the administration of IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of files and processes running on the systems they administer. Participate in rotation of 24x7 on-call support. Maintain regular and consistent communications with the Supervisor - Database/ERP Administration.
