Must be able to read/speak fluent conversational Spanish and English. Communication skills are very important. Must have experience with Quality Center (ALM), QTP/UFT, and Jira (for Defect tracking). Point of Sale Testing experience. The tester supports quality assurance programs and processes in alignment with QA strategy. The tester is responsible for providing feedback on artifacts developed during requirements and analysis phase within client projects; authoring test cases; and performing test execution for both project and support related activities. The testers will be primarily performing manual testing but may have an opportunity to participate in automated test development/execution using HP-UFT. Essential Job Functions: 1. Work within various test methodologies such as waterfall or iterative 2. Create QA Task List in order to meet objectives and deadlines 3. Participate in Requirement & Design Doc review session; evaluate requirements & design docs from a quality test automation standpoint 4. Execute Test scripts to validate correct functionality of application 5. Manage test coverage based on risk analysis 6. Use SQL for back-end database validation 7. Document defects and evaluate priority of defect based on overall application functionality 8. Coordinate Test script reviews with stakeholders, as appropriate 9. Perform various types of testing including white box, integration, back-end DB validation, system testing, and end-to-end, as needed 10. Adhere to requirement review, defect writing & test script writing guidelines 11. Coordinate testing efforts between 3rd party testing team. 12. Keep Lead Tester informed of current state of quality and test progress 13. Ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget, and quality constraints 14. Participate in Root Cause Analysis sessions 15. Ensure that projects follow prescribed software development life cycle standards 16. Develop and maintain good relationships with project team 17. Identify obstacles and roadblocks; offer suggestions to work around obstacle 18.
