Understand business problems *Job Description:* • Architect, lead, design and develop integrations on the Guidewire ClaimCenter Implementation project that may include the following activities: o Facilitate requirements, analysis and design discussions surrounding assigned integration tracks with other team members and subject matter experts o Analyze and estimate integration design and development effort o Design and document integrations and integration components o Lead, manage and assign tasks for team members as needed to fulfill integration track responsibilities o Develop and unit test integration components o Leverage established frameworks and best-practices, while continuing to promote continuous improvement and alternatives where appropriate Developers in this role will work closely with the business users to configure functionality in ClaimCenter system to meet the needs of the Claims Division. This will include designing, developing, and testing changes to UI, business rules and security profiles within the Guidewire Studio. The developers will also work to develop and connect the needed integrations to non-ClaimCenter systems and databases. *Additional Information:* Our client writes business in 26 states, and they currently have 87 claims branches. Branch and field claim representatives — who primarily handle all lines — manage claims day to day with support and leadership from their local office, their regional office and the home office (corporate headquarters in Lansing). The independent agents are important partners as well — they get involved in the claims handling process, especially during the initial first-notice-of-loss. Responsibilities: • Understand and analyze business problem, conceptualize potential solutions • Design and develop application features • Design and develop database components • Design and develop test cases • Assist architect and project manager in defining and estimating project tasks • Collaborate with and mentor other developers Skills: • Experience – Expert project domain knowledge in assigned area and proficient in full software development lifecycle • Technology – Broad technical competency with expertise in at least one programming language. (Object Oriented Experience preferred) • Methodology – Solid experience in full software development lifecycle. Must be a competent modeler, proficient with UML. Must be proficient with design patterns.
