Position : Security Consultant with Risk based IT Security exp. Location: Phila, Pa. Duration: 6-12 months with possible RTH Start: 8/10/15 US citizen or Green card strongly preferred. Job: IT Security and Risk Consultant Description: - 8+ years of progressive professional experience designing and managing a risk-based IT security program in a dynamic, highly regulated environment. - Experience working on a complex IT transformation project and/or knowledge of agile development is a plus. - Expert knowledge of IT and IT security concepts (e.g. cloud computing; Service Oriented Architecture and web services; network/perimeter security; Identity and Access management; secure coding; DAST/SAST; security event monitoring; intrusion detection and response; encryption technologies; Windows; Unix; web servers; etc). - Working knowledge of Cloud Computing concepts and security frameworks, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Salesforce. - Working knowledge of Secure SDLC concepts and frameworks, or experience developing functional and non-functional security requirements for IT system development projects. - Working knowledge of security architecture concepts and frameworks, or experience interacting with an Enterprise Architecture function. - IT Security & Risk leads a team of security, risk and internal control specialists focused on ensuring that client’s cloud-based Modernized Information Systems are designed and built to include robust technical security safeguards and controls at all layers of the System. - The consultant, IT Security & Risk's primary focus is to translate and decompose high level security and risk mitigation strategies to specific requirements, controls and technology solutions for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of client’s information assets. - This includes safeguards to protect client’s IT systems, software, network and data located in a client data center and in the public cloud. - The consultant, IT Security & Risk will also play a significant role in the company’s agile development processes, representing IT security, risk and controls in various settings. The consultant, IT Security & Risk will be the liaison to the Enterprise Architecture team. The consultant, IT Security & Risk reports directly to the Vice President responsible for client’s overall IT Security program. 1.) Drives the implementation of IT security controls and technical safeguards in support of the Company’s IT security strategy and roadmap through the development of functional and non-functional requirements (predominately in the form of agile Features and User Stories), identification of high level solution alternatives, risk assessments and trade-off analysis. 2.) Serve as an IT security expert in projects and initiatives throughout the company, helping project teams mitigate risk and comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices. Work closely with IT infrastructure, application and solution architects, and security specialists, to ensure security solutions are in place at all layers of the technology stack (infrastructure to code) in order to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements. 3.)
