*Position: Windows Infrastructure Engineer.* *Location: Harleysville, PA* *Duration: 12 Months +* *Description:* a. In pre-production environments, install Nationwide applications and necessary upgrades, configure them, and troubleshoot/support/resolve issues as needed. b. Help plan, schedule, test and coordinate application installations and configuration. c. Work with application and IT Infrastructure teams to ensure successful delivery of application functionality to end users. d. Grasp underlying technologies supporting these applications, including network, server platforms, operating systems, storage, security and authentication. e. Maintain direct relationships with application owners, developers, support staff, and system architects. f. Help design, implement and support proofs of concept (POCs) for application installations/upgrades. g. Maintain operational knowledge of applicable Nationwide platforms, technologies and applications. h. Help keep application configuration information updated in various internal tracking tools/systems. i. Any of the above may require interactions with external partners, working with them to ensure their software functions properly with Nationwide applications, etc. j. IT background. k. Experienced in release management/code deployment. l. Familiarity with PC hardware architecture. m. End-to-end solution implementation experience. n. Excellent working knowledge of computer environments/peripherals. o. Proven knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP) networks, including configuration of personal computers (PCs), servers, operating systems and networks. p.
