*POSITION*

*Windows System Admin*

*6+months*

*West Chester, PA*



 *Required Experience*:

At least 7 years of experience in Windows (2003, 2008, 2012).



*Required Skills:*

· Advanced knowledge of Windows operating system including
scripting (powershell), deployment automation, and general system
administration.

· Strong knowledge of networking and networking protocols.

· Strong knowledge of virtual environments.  Specifically VMware
(5.5 and 6.0)

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Security patching using  Microsoft
Update, VCM or Shavlik.

· Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.

· Experience in network attached storage (NAS) and Storage Area
Network (SAN) technologies such as EMC & PURE is desired.

· Ability to quickly find solutions to unfamiliar problems
(research skills).

· Knowledge of security practices (PCI-DSS).

· Must be able to follow change controls and security procedures.

· Analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot system
problems.

· Ability to work independently (critical) and as part of a team.

· Willing to work off-hours in an on-call schedule as needed.
Off-hours work will most likely be required.

· Perform advanced problem analysis, issue trending, and outage
management.

· Ability to think outside the box for solutions.

· Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work.

· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.



*The following Preferred (not required):*

Virtualization - VMWare vSphere - VCP certified or relevant work
experience.   Experience with VMware ESX, virtualization analysis, and
consolidation activities are a plus

Compute - Cisco UCS Blade servers.

Fluency in advanced troubleshooting skills, methodologies and processes
experience with a converged Infrastructure Platform( Cisco UCS).



*Duties / Responsibilities to include:*

· Full range of Windows System Administration duties including
security patching and troubleshooting

· Participation on new projects and maintaining Windows systems.

· Active Directory Administration and management (manage objects
and groups).  Must have working knowledge of ADFS and able to create new
SSO requests.

· Upgrading Windows systems from w2003 to w2008 or build new 2012
systems and migrate applications from w2003.

· This could be Physical for Virtual servers.

· This position will primarily be responsible for backend
infrastructure (Windows Server and VMware server).

· Setup, customization, configuring, troubleshooting and
maintaining new and existing Windows infrastructure.

· Maintaining system documentation and knowledge transfer of any
new or updated system.

· Tuning system performance.

· Validating and implementing critical system patches via Microsoft
Update, VCM or Shavlik.

· Manage systems via Vsphere.

· Monitor and correct issues involving, disk, memory, and CPU.

· Support ad hoc requests from development teams
