BT Portal Business Analysis

Location: NYC

Duration: 12 months

35 hour per week Project.



Job Description:

Responsibilities include:



• Design environmental testing analytics solutions by
understanding customer's business and sampling strategy goals, gathering
requirements, defining project scope, and providing technical and product
guidance.

• Provide superior technical support and build successful
long-term relationships with both the Division and DIITT.

• Understand existing applications functional and technical
design, including system architecture, database schema, application
specific web services and integration points with external systems.

• Understand new system requirement, perform analysis,
development and document technical design.

• Design, Develop, Code, Test and deployment the application to
implement new features

• Integrate code/features from the existing application.

• Develop requirements per Mapping and Bar-coding solutions

• Perform testing and documentation



MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory
skills will not be considered.



• Minimum 4+ years of experience with the below technologies

• Experience with mapping and barcoding solution

• Experience with JavaScript based mapping API

• SharePoint Integration



DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:



- Built system requirements for Web application development in Net,
ASP.net, MVC, Responsive framework like Bootstrap, SQL Server, SSRS,
JavaScript, Web Services, Ajax, SSRS, C#



SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 + years BA experience highly preferred

• Knowledgeable in gathering, reviewing and analyzing end-users
requirements

• Adept at creating conceptual prototypes and mock-ups

• Strong workflow and modeling skills, including: brainstorm,
business function, data and database, network and enterprise, and UML.

• Knowledgeable in business process modeling and requirements
traceability techniques

• Excellent written communication, including
validating/verifying and technical writing skills

• Exceptional verbal communication and problem solving skills,
including:

soliciting, clarifying, affirming, consensus-building, and
non-verbal/unspoken

• Demonstrated requirements elicitation aptitude and talent

• Familiar with and intellectually curious about a wide range
of technologies and applications, including: web-based applications
deployed in a multi-tier environment; mobile phone applications; electronic
data exchanges;

• Effective at communicating technical concepts to
non-technical users

• Requirement prioritization and organization and analysis
capabilities

• Good understanding of system engineering concepts

• Proficient in Use Case driven requirements gathering

• Modeling techniques and methods experience

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory
skills will not be considered.



The preferred candidate must possess:

• At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in
gathering business and functional requirements pertaining to enterprise
technology topics.

• At least 7 years of total work experience

• Experience in working on and implementing multiple
vendor/COTS solutions similar to the MOCS project.

• A mix of private sector and public sector experience at
federal, state or large municipal government levels.

• Proven experience with projects in multiple-entity
environments (multiple agencies, business partners, etc.)

• Experienced with formal SDLCs and business analysis
methodologies; Strong knowledge of business analysis documentation standards

• Excellent oral and written communication/soft skills and the
ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; must
be a team player who works well with technical and a wide of variety
non-technical resources at different levels of the organization

• Must take initiative, provide decisive recommendations and
show confidence in recommendations made

• Must be able to take strategic direction from executive
management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the
lifetime of the project

• Must be able to see tasks through to completion without
significant guidance

• Experience using standard project tools including MS Project,
PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working in an agile methodology and creating agile
deliverables

• Experience using requirements and/or testing management tools
(e.g.  CaliberRM, HP QualityCenter, Atlassian JIRA)

• Experience in projects related to Sourcing / Procurement

• Advanced education in computer science, information
technology and related engineering fields
