Location: NYC Duration: 12 months 35 hour per week project. Job Description: SCOPE OF SERVICES The consultant will make updates to existing modules in the application, adding new data, data checking and modifying the design as necessary for the NYC HANES, CHS, YRBS, Child, STD and Syndromic modules. These modules allow for analyses of survey and disease surveillance data, producing data tables and graphs by demographics and bivariates. In addition, the consultant may be complete new modules for the application. The consultant will be expected to write and/or refine the SAS code for each level of the module, including embedded HTML and JavaScript to build webpages and work within the SAS eBI system. While existing code will be available for reference, the consultant will be expected to consider innovative techniques to accomplish the goals for these projects. The consultant will work closely with the Data Communications team to design a working internal site for each updated or new module, providing a testing environment and demonstrating the site as developed. In addition to the code for the site, the consultant will be asked to thoroughly document the development process. In addition, consultants will work on creating a system for automating updates of disease surveillance data to the HIV, TB, STD and Communicable Disease modules, documenting development of the system and creating a user manual in consultation with the Director of Data Communications. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.
